Behind every photo, there is a story...

Intrinsic to Alaska, with its many mountain ranges and varied topography, is its diverse and quickly changing weather. This, in conjunction with its immense size, dramatic landscapes, abundant wildlife, and difficult access, presents a combination of elements that make it ripe for adventure and bursting with photo opportunities.

There is a great deal of logistical preparation, persistence, and often a mysterious combination of serendipity and providence that lies behind the photo itself. Some stories and moments are more magical and dramatic than others, but all include that invaluable experience of "whatever" it took to get the photo.
