Mount McKinley is North America's tallest peak, exceeding 20, 320 feet! It is the dominant feature in the Alaska range mountains and is a prized mountaineering destination. While not the most technically difficult climb, the extreme weather makes it a potentially dangerous one. In any given climbing season, 1000 mountaineers attempt its summit.
