The Colorado river flows through the Grand Canyon, and is joined along the way by the Little Colorado river. The minerals present in that river result in a beautifully aqua-colored water. We did a short walk along the river at mid day, although in harsh light, at least it was perpendicular to the direction I was shooting. The barrel cacti in the foreground, besides offering an interesting foreground subject, have formidable thorns, to be avoided at all times. I speak from experience on this one!
