Ollantaytambo Inca ruins, in the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, Peru, often overshadowed by the more famous Machu Picchu are certainly worth a visit. I spent a few hours there after a day filled with travel and visits to other locations prior to a late afternoon arrival. More time would be allocated in a future visit for sure.
Our schedule and logistics have been tweaked a bit as a result of the recent floods that wiped out the railway-the only way to access Machuu Picchu-which fortunately, officially reopened yesterday. Apparently, the railway is running at 70% now but from a location closer than usual.
The absence of photos are due to the fact that I left my computer in Cusco–a city I’ll be returning to in a few nights–for extra light traveling. Hopefully I’ll have some images to share before the Galapagos leg in a few days.
