Having just spent the day trekking around the lost city of the Incas, or better known as Machu Picchu, it is clear why it stands out as Peru’s primary tourist attraction. The mystery surrounding much of the ruins leaves one to imagine all sorts of purpose or reason for many structures and objects. But mostly a mystery they will remain, since no written language exists to clarify. The beauty of the location, combined with the magnificent stone architecture leaves one spellbound.
The place is plenty crowded, but it’s a price to pay for visiting such a site. Photography that excludes humans is done at the very beginning of a day before everyone arrives, which I am yet to attempt. And if the sun shines on the steep slopes of this jungle-ridden mystery mountain, I shall be happy indeed.
My iPhone snap shot is all I have to share at the moment.
