One of my favorite mountains in the Brooks Range. Mount Snowden, Brooks Range, Alaska. Canon 1Ds Mark III, 100-400mm f/5.6L IS, (310mm), 1/320 @ f/8, ISO 200
If you have followed this blog at all, you will see that the Brooks Range mountains that arc across Alaska’s arctic are a common subject. The range is massive and equally amazing visually, in its diversity of geography and geology. After a successful photo session with the polar bears along the coast, our current photo tour group of 8 is heading south back into the Brooks Range for some arctic wildlife and landscape photography, and hopefully some more aurora borealis displays.
