I’m finalizing the design and image selection for my 2016 Alaska calendar and I’m vacillating between these two polar bear pictures for the month of December. Which one would you choose?

I prefer the lone bear, as the composition is stronger.
I love them both. But I think The Sow and Cub. Christmas in part is for children so that’s the one.

Two bears are better then one
Single bear. It has more impact.
I like them both, but it is hard to beat the female and cub.
I’d go with the single bear. Looks like Lord of The Arctic!
The aloof and commanding first bear is striking. The bottom of the second image dissolves into a whole lot of fur.
The first image is my choice. I Iike the composition and the eye contact connects with me.

The sow and cub, definitely. Both beautiful photos, but I’m a sucker for animals interacting.
Both are great images!! But the lone bear speaks more to me.

I vote for the lone bear. It is a great picture of a brute of a bear. Most polar bear pictures seem to tend towards cute and cubs. The lone bear stands out as a unique statement about the Nannook
Booth pictures shows different personalities. I like lone bear because it shows polar bear character which they are known for.
