This photo was shared on social media recently and received some attention so I thought I’d explain it beyond the short caption. I created this picture years ago from two single images taken in Denali National Park. The caribou were silhouetted walking on a hillside and not anything notable as a stand alone photo. The other dramatic scene of sunset light on Denali and Wonder Lake was taken in a well known photo spot adjacent to the Lake. I was experimenting with digital composite images at the request of my stock agency. I prefer the real natural scene, but this scene has been popular over the years.
